DUBAI, U.A.E., ZURICH, Switzerland, Aug. 16: Dnata Switzerland has become the first ground-handling operation in Switzerland to achieve ISAGO accreditation, having successfully passed audits for both the head office and station operations in Zurich.
The ISAGO program is an audit system conducted in a standardized and consistent manner, using internationally recognized quality auditing principles. The implementation of the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) aims to improve safety and cut airline costs by drastically reducing ground accidents and injuries.
“We are extremely proud to be the first handling provider in Switzerland to demonstrate conformity with the applicable ISAGO standards,” said Urs Zorn, CEO, Dnata Switzerland AG.
“Our Geneva station is now preparing for the audit, which will take place in September, and we continue to remain committed to ensuring best practices across all aspects of our operations,” he said.
The Zurich ISAGO accreditation is applicable to the following ground handling services provided to customers: station management, load control, passenger handling, baggage handling, aircraft handling and loading, aircraft ground movement, and cargo and mail handling.
“Operating a world-class business and having an aspiration to be the best has enabled Dnata’s international ground-handling business to expand internationally,” said Stewart Angus, divisional senior vice president for Dnata International Operations.
“Dnata's base operation in Dubai was the first ground-handling agent in the world to gain ISAGO accreditation. All of Dnata's international businesses are now following this example, with Switzerland being the first over the line,” he said.
“ This achievement provides yet another example of Dnata’s tireless efforts to lead the way, ensuring only the highest level of service and quality are applied across everything we do”, he added.
