Dec. 15--BILOXI -- Starting Jan. 5, more visitors will fly to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino from St. Petersburg–Clearwater, Fla., on Vision Airlines.
The number of inbound and outbound flights will increase from three to five a week, said Mary Cracchiolo-Spain, spokeswoman for the Beau Rivage.
She said seats also would be available to the public on the 136-seat Boeing 737 aircraft.
Nonstop flights will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Flights depart St. Petersburg–Clearwater International Airport at 1:45 p.m. EST and arrive at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport at 2:05 p.m CST.
Flights leaving Gulfport/Biloxi will depart at 10:30 a.m. CST and arrive at St. Pete–Clearwater at 12:50 p.m. EST.
Packages with airfare and rooms at the Beau Rivage start at $199 per person plus taxes and fees, based on double occupancy and availability.
A fleet of four motor coaches shuttles passengers between the airport and the Biloxi resort.
This is the third anniversary of St. Petersburg-to-Gulfport service between Vision Airlines and Beau Rivage.
"We're excited to see that Beau Rivage is expanding this program with us," said David Meers, senior vice president of Vision Airlines.
"We believe that Beau Rivage customers will be pleased with the level of service and reliability our airline provides."
