Nextant Aerospace, maker of the 400XT, a completely remanufactured business jet, announced that it has launched a dedicated, content-rich iPhone application for the aircraft.

With an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, the Company said users have access to specifications, comparisons, range maps, videos, news updates and interactive features for the 400XT aircraft, a company focused on performance, value and comfort.

The Nextant 400XT iPhone app provides a guide into the world of the 400XT. Users can access an interactive range map to determine how their travel needs align with the 400XT's category-killer performance; stream videos to learn more about the production and in flight capabilities of the 400XT; instantly view a comparative analysis between the new 400XT and the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP on which it is based; and explore cabin layout options. Users also will be able to correspond directly with a Nextant sales representative.

"The launch of the 400XT iPhone app provides our current and prospective owners as well as industry professionals with immediate access to information on the features, enhancements and performance benefits of the 400XT," said David Davies, Chief Information Officer for Nextant Aerospace. "This first-generation version of the iPhone app not only underscores our commitment to serving our clients via the best in modern technology, but also provides the foundation for additional interactive client service features in the future."

According to a release, the Nextant 400XT, which received full Federal Aviation Administration certification this year after a three-year development and flight testing process, saw its first deliveries recently and is available at a cost of about half that of competing new models.

The 400XT process employs a remanufactured airframe from the Beechjet 400A/XP aircraft, enhanced with new technology including the Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engine, the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated avionics suite, electronics and completely rebuilt interiors. The remanufacturing process takes all life-limited components to zero-time status, either through replacement or complete overhaul, which effectively makes the 400XT a new plane in all material aspects even before the addition of technology. The 400XT is considered to be a new type in Aircraft Bluebook. Further options include additional avionics features and cabin entertainment including high speed wireless internet.

The Company noted that the resulting aircraft supports a range of 2,005 nautical miles with four passengers and NBAA IFR Reserves, a 50 percent increase over the 400XP, with a remarkable 32 percent reduction in operating costs. Other performance enhancements include a cruising speed of 460 nautical miles per hour; fuel efficiency enhancements of 25-30 percent, depending on the length of the flight segment and noise compliance that exceeds Stage IV requirements. A number of orders have been received, including a 40-plane order from Flight Options.

Nextant Aerospace was founded for the primary purpose of developing an aircraft modernization program.
