Geneva / Switzerland, May 17, 2011 – Jet Aviation will open a new sales office in Van Nuys, Calif., to provide charter and aircraft management services to the West Coast. The company recently hired Jon Winthrop to lead the Van Nuys-based team. With the opening of the new office on June 1, Jet Aviation will have U.S. locations from coast to coast.
Out of its Van Nuys, Calif., sales office, Jet Aviation will provide charter and aircraft management services beginning June 1. The newly established West Coast team will be led by aviation veteran Jon Winthrop who recently joined the company.

Jon Winthrop, formerly chairman and CEO of The Air Group, has joined the organization as vice president and managing director, Western Region and Pacific Rim. Jon will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the operation. An industry veteran with more than 40 years of aviation experience, Jon holds dual degrees in finance and marketing.
Jon will be supported by Ken Combs, Linda Spotts-Schiffner and Lucy Hoover. Ken most recently served as assistant director of flight operations for Clay Lacy Aviation. He is a pilot with more than 7,700 hours of flight time. Linda is an operations and dispatch expert with extensive international trip experience; she has a bachelor of arts degree. Lucy was executive administrator for The Air Group and holds a bachelors degree in geography. Ken will serve Jet Aviation as director of operations Western Region/Pacific Rim, and Linda is the new senior flight management representative. Lucy joins the team as office manager, Western Region.
