Bennington, VT (December 13, 2010) -- AvBid, Inc. launched AvBid.com in November. The platform is a buying and selling tool for aircraft parts and rotables. Since the launch, AvBid's subscription-based service has added millions of line items from the parts databases of companies throughout the aviation industry.

"We've been listening to what our new subscribers are saying," said David Corey, president of AvBid, Inc. "They are operating with reduced staffs and in some cases responding to hundreds of RFQ's per day."

The AvBid platform is a solution for companies in that situation because it reduces the time spent in responding to RFQs and in tracking historical bid information. AvBid improves the overall efficiency and transparency of the aviation parts procurement process.

"Because all quoting is done on the site, several customers asked for an automatic quoting feature for parts that have standard or fixed pricing," said Corey. "We've incorporated that feature, to the benefit of both Buyers and Sellers."

With the upgrade, Sellers simply include pricing information when uploading their inventory. When issuing RFQs any match that is found with parts that are already priced generates an automatic quotation immediately. Other sellers are also free to supply quotations as before.

This new feature is most appropriate for Sellers with larger inventories, who can update them in "real time" with price and stock level changes. A direct connection with the AvBid system is the preferred method.
