Sabreliner Corporation has named Walt Sirmans to the newly-created position of chief operating officer and John F. White as vice president, human resources for the aviation services provider.
“Walt has more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry,” said Patrick J. Finneran Jr., Sabreliner president and chief executive officer. “His achievements at increasingly higher levels of responsibility within the industry will pay dividends as he leads our day-to-day operations.”
Based at the company’s Perryville, Mo. facility, Sirmans is responsible for Sabreliner’s four operating sites in Missouri and Kansas. In this role, he is driving operational and process efficiencies in support of the company’s long-term growth objectives.
Since 2007, Sirmans served as vice president of aero structures programs at GKN Aerospace in St. Louis. Prior to that, he was employed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, serving most recently as director of aircraft sustainment programs. Sirmans began his aerospace career as an engineer with Pratt & Whitney where he advanced through a number of positions to become senior program manager for the F135 propulsion system for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
John F. White, Sabreliner’s new vice president, human resources, is responsible for all facets of company personnel relations, recruitment and training.
“John is a seasoned human resources executive who shares our passion for ethical and top-notch performance,” said Finneran. “I expect his skills to be exceptionally valuable as we pursue our primary goal of sustainable growth.”
White has a quarter-century of human resources experience, most recently with Crane Merchandising Systems in Bridgeton, Mo. Before that, he was vice president of human resources at Joslyn Manufacturing Co. (operating unit of Danaher Corporation) in the Chicago area, where he initiated a number of human resources programs that increased productivity and on-time delivery.

The company has 460 employees and more than 425,000 square feet of aviation maintenance, manufacturing, processing and repair facilities at three service locations in Missouri and one in Kansas.
