NBAA, Orlando – October 20, 2009 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and JSSI, the world’s largest, independent provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, recently announced a new summer internship program. JSSI representatives will attend the Embry-Riddle Career Fair in November and will engage three Embry-Riddle students to work as interns in JSSI’s Technical Services, Client Services and Sales and Marketing Departments during the summer of 2010. Intern candidates will be sought from Embry-Riddle’s aviation science and technical programs, as well as its College of Business.
Louis C. Seno, CEO of JSSI and Member of the Board of Trustees of Embry-Riddle, spearheaded the effort, with a goal of recruiting talented aviation students from Embry-Riddle to join JSSI for a focused summer internship program. Said Seno, “Our people are our most important asset. We are constantly seeking the brightest and the best to join the ranks, and Embry-Riddle is an ideal source for our outstanding people.”
Dr. John Johnson, President of Embry-Riddle, stated “he was proud of the affiliation with JSSI and that helping students to obtain meaningful professional experience was an important adjunct to their education.” He added, “the JSSI internship program creates opportunity for long-term employment of our graduates. We could not be more pleased to support this effort.”
