2009: A Year of Growth for Dallas Airmotive Regional Turbine Centers and Field Service Support
Orlando, Florida…October 19, 2009…BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive achieved significant year of growth for its Regional Turbine Centers (RTC) and Field Service organization during 2009. Two additional RTCs were opened during the year – one in Wichita, Kansas and one in Belo Horizonte, Brazil – bringing the total to 12 worldwide. Additionally, Field Service Representatives were positioned in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mumbai, India and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
“Becoming more local and thereby more accessible to our customers wherever they are around the globe is a key element of our long-term strategy,” stated BBA Aviation ERO President Hugh McElroy. “Business aviation in particular is gaining in acceptance as more corporations continue take on a global footprint. It should not be surprising that operators prefer a local presence rather than having to deal across long distances. This is why we are looking outward in our growth plans so that we can accommodate the needs of operators as they literally spread their wings.”
Dallas Airmotive currently operates 12 Regional Turbine Centers and employs more than 100 Field Service Technicians (FSRs). The FSRs are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for dispatch anywhere in the world. Among their services, they assist operators in diagnosing engine problems, performing field repairs, and completing engine removals and reinstallations.
“Establishing a field service operation in a region is the first step in developing an expanded presence for the long term,” commented McElroy. “We’re keeping an eye on growth trends around the world and are ready to respond with the appropriate support when the time is right.”
