Chromalloy Names New General Manager at San Diego Turbine Engine Repair and Overhaul Operation
SAN ANTONIO, TX – Chromalloy announces that Martin George has been named General Manager of the company's San Diego operation.
"San Diego is a key operation in Chromalloy's global network, serving commercial and military aerospace customers as well as the aero-derivative industrial segment with engine service, repair and components," says Scott Ransley, Chromalloy Vice President, Operations, Commercial Repair & Overhaul. "Martin brings nearly 20 years of technical leadership and overall management experience to the operation."
George has been acting General Manager since January when Nat Love, the facility's former General Manager, moved to a technical leadership position on Chromalloy’s corporate team.
Prior to acting General Manager, George was Director of Operations at San Diego, responsible for day-to-day operations, certifications, audits, and continuous improvement programs. He held other technical leadership positions after joining the company in 1991 as a production engineer at the Holland MRO operation.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering from Stow College in Scotland, and certification in Design of Experiment and Lean Manufacturing. He completed the University of California-San Diego Executive Program for Scientists and Engineers, and is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
