The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) has inaugurated recently this week the EADS Competence Center of Qatar (EADS CCQ) in the presence of Akbar Al Baker CEO Qatar Airways, and Jean-Pierre Talamoni CEO EADS International.
EADS CCQ is an advanced center for training, research, and development located in 'Qatar Sciences and Technology Park' (QSTP) in Doha. The center specializes in aeronautic maintenance activities and will focus on research and development programs in cooperation with universities and institutes in Qatar, the GCC, and the world, as well as the academic partners of Qatar Foundation.
EADS CCQ will host a Joint Venture with the French Welding Institute 'Institute de Soudure' to deliver training and certification programs for nondestructive testing technologies (NDT). The Center will also propose, in association with Airbus, certified courses and diplomas in aircraft maintenance and other aeronautical related trainings.
"The establishment of the Center is an additional materialisation of the long lasting and trustful cooperation existing between EADS and the State of Qatar," says Bertrand Deyzac, Chairman of EADS CCQ.
