(New Berlin, WI, USA)—EMTEQ, a highly experienced provider of avionic system engineering design and certification, was granted STC (Supplement Type Certificate) approval to install the ICG (International Communications Group) SATCOM system on B757-200/300 aircraft. The installation includes the ICG corded flight deck phone, cordless ICG phones in the main cabin, a dual Iridium transceiver and Band Pass Filter as well as dual SATCOM antennas. EMTEQ also holds STCs for the EMS HSD-400 and Honeywell MCS4000/7000 SATCOM installation on B767-200/300. STC approval is pending for EMS HSD-400 and Rockwell Collins SAT-2100B installations on B757-200 and B767-200/300 respectively.
