AirMed International Names Steven McNeely As Safety & Security Executive Officer
BIRMINGHAM, ALA., Sept. 26, 2016 - AirMed International named Dr. Steven C. McNeely as Safety and Security Executive Officer. He reports to company President Denise M. Treadwell in his newly created position.

McNeely is responsible for AirMed personnel and fight safety processes, policies, procedures, Safety Management System and Emergency Response Plan in addition to aircraft and facility security. He will be located in the company's Birmingham headquarters.
McNeely earned a PhD in Aviation Business Management from Northcentral University, an MBA and undergraduate degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he is an adjunct associate professor. He has more than 40 years of aviation and safety experience, most recently for Era Helicopters and Jet Solutions, L.L.C.
His military career covers 22 years in the United States Air Force and four years in the United States Navy. He is also an FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
Previously, he served as Chair of the National Aviation Transportation Association's Safety and Security Committee and on the Air Charter Safety Foundation's Industry Audit Working Group. McNeely participated as a member on the Operations and Training working group, FAA Safety Management System Aviation Rule Making Committee.
He has lectured and presented safety management material for the FAA Safety Management Systems Focus Group on several occasions. And he is a published author on Aviation Internal Evaluation Programs.
