Lake in the Hills Airport is seeking Fixed Based Operator Services
The Village of Lake in the Hills is requesting information from anyone interested in providing services as a Fixed Base Operator at the Lake in the Hills Airport (3CK). The FBO would provide full service aircraft refueling services and provide other services to transient pilots arriving at the Airport. Individuals or companies may also propose to bring additional aeronautical services to the Airport as part of their operations.
A 2012 study prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation shows the Lake in the Hills Airport provides a $28.7 million economic contribution to Lake in the Hills and surrounding communities. As the only publicly owned airport in McHenry County, the Airport brings many unique recreational and business options to the area. With the continuing program of safety improvements, this is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a flourishing general aviation airport.
