Dallas Airmotive Approved for ESP® Service on Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D Turbofans
Orlando, Florida…October 19, 2009…BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive has been approved by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide service to JT15D operators who are on the Eagle Service Plan™ (ESP®). ESP is a pay-by-the-hour engine maintenance budget program that enables operators to confidently forecast maintenance expenses and avoid unexpected costs.
“With this approval, Dallas Airmotive will have access to serve the JT15D operators,” commented BBA Aviation ERO Vice President of Customer Service Mike Cumnock. “We are very well known for our JT15D services, and we are as fully committed to supporting this engine now as we were 35 years ago when we first started offering repair and overhaul on the Dash 1 series. The ESP appointment is gratifying in that it shows the ongoing confidence and trust that P&WC places in our service and workmanship.” Dallas Airmotive is also ESP approved on PW300 and PW500 engines.
Dallas Airmotive was first approved as a Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF) for the JT15D series in 1974, long before the ESP concept was introduced. More than 6,600 JT15D have been produced and it is one of the most widely used engines on business aviation light jets. Dallas Airmotive services the JT15D at its major overhaul facility in Dallas, Texas and at 10 of its 12 Regional Turbine Centers in the U.S., Brazil and the UK.
