Atlantic City Aviation Maintenance Program Delayed
March 28, 2017
An aviation maintenance institute at Atlantic City International Airport is still planned. However, it will not be ready to open in June, as originally hoped.
According to The Press of Atlantic City, Atlantic County is working with the airport, along with Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, among others, to establish an 18-month certification program in aircraft maintenance at the airport with a goal of training, certifying and hiring aircraft maintenance and repair workers.
The report states organizers hope to have the program established by the end of this year.
