Gore Exhibiting Suite of Next-Gen In-Flight Connectivity Solutions at Apex Expo 2019
W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Gore) will exhibit the company’s collection of GORE Aerospace Cables and Assemblies for NextGen, high-performance connectivity at the APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) Expo in Los Angeles, CA, on Sep. 10-12, Booth 1523.
Gore continues to engineer ground-breaking cables and assemblies that meet the civil aerospace industry’s growing demand for faster digital networks, higher-quality in-flight entertainment, improved fuel efficiency, and less maintenance and downtime. GORE Aerospace Cables and Assemblies are engineered specifically to withstand broad temperature ranges, exposure to abrasion and wear, repeated mechanical stress, high voltages, and hazardous contaminants. “We are excited to share how Gore products can impact NextGen inflight connectivity,” said Jenn Haupt, aerospace & defense marketing communications lead USA. “Cables play a critical role in these systems and they need to not just survive the conditions but impact end results such as passenger and air crew experience, as well."
Featured at APEX Expo will be GORE Aerospace Fiber Optic Cables, 1.8 mm Simplex – proven to perform at the highest levels in most challenging civil aviation environments. These cables reliably transfer critical data on high-speed avionics networks up to 100 Gbps and beyond, while providing significant weight and cost savings over traditional copper cable and ruggedized fiber optic cables.
Gore will also highlight their GORE Microwave/RF Assemblies, 7 Series, which are engineered to prevent the ingress of water vapor, fuels, oils, chemicals and other contaminants commonly found in airborne environments. With their rugged, vapor-sealed construction, these assemblies routinely maintain low insertion loss, low return loss, and excellent phase stability at frequencies up to 18 gigahertz (GHz), while providing outstanding shielding effectiveness in challenging aerospace environments.
