Web Manuals Lights up Business Aviation With App Accessibility Upgrades
Web Manuals, a world leader in aviation document digitization solutions, is upgrading its app to enhance document management on the move.
With the same functionality as the full browser alternative, accessibility is improved throughout the app, with dark mode allowing for use in cockpits at night, and additional zooming and background removal functionality for clear reading of manuals.
Users can see which documents are on each aircraft, in which revision and if they have been read by the intended recipients. In the case of time-sensitive amends, admins can push operationally critical documents onto specific or all devices, with oversight as to who has downloaded the most urgent files.
Krister Genmark, VP of Sales and director of Operations, Americas, Web Manuals, says: “The Web Manuals app is an easy way for aircraft operators to download, read and update crucial documents, even when flying at 10,000ft at night with no internet connection. For ground support staff, the app allows users to read up-to-date information, check on specific parts, fill in forms or approve documentation when away from a computer or laptop.
“This app revision has been in development for more than a year by our incredibly talented in-house IT team. The changes are a direct result of feedback from customers which we collect during our annual GoDigital events. We look forward to providing customers with an upgraded, more intuitive tool.”
The app is currently in open beta status, with the first version launching in Q4 2022 - Q1 2023. The reviewer element is set to be implemented during 2023, as well as functionality that allows for more intuitive reading, such as rotate view buttons, easier page switch buttons, and navigational breadcrumbs.
Web Manuals is exhibiting on Booth 1995 at NBAA 2022 and live demonstrations of the updated software are available. The app will be available to download on iOS and Android devices.
