Sensus Rostering is a long-term schedule planning system. The first method is designed to showcase the demand of the staff for a specific period and the qualifications you will need – in other words, it is the most efficient target to aim for depending on the settings, flights, schedule convenience, and other settings. If an organization is able to gather and train resources according to the plan, it can input employees to shifts and you are able to publish the schedule. However, the situation can always change and here planners can use the second method. The difference is that it does not generate the demand but takes into account current employees and equally distributes the employees throughout the selected period according to flight schedule, employee qualification, personal requests, union agreements, and other settings. In other words, it utilizes the current resources and tries to cover the tasks with the resources you have. Afterward, you are always able to experiment with simulation mode to find the best possible situation.
The second part of Sensus Rostering is the AI, which kicks in after a few months of usage. The AI monitors the planner’s actions and changes throughout the system, trying to find the patterns of the planner. Each planner has their own style and sometimes forgets to set the settings, as there are many. The AI helps to find the missing settings according to manual changes and applies them to the next schedule.
