Jet Glo Express from Sherwin-Williams Aerospace is a high-solids, multi-component polyester urethane system designed for use on high-performance general aviation and commercial aircraft. Now AMS 3095 certified, the system provides excellent coverage and protection for most types of commercial aircraft. With a cure time of only six to eight hours, it provides painters with excellent flow and leveling. The durable topcoat has a blister-resistant formulation that provides good buffing characteristics. It is chemical resistant to a variety of substances, including Skydrol and other hydraulic fluids. It is designed to meet the performance requirements of MIL-PRF-85285D, Type 1; Boeing BMS 10-72; Bombardier BAMS 565-009, Type II, Class A. The topcoat, when admixed properly, contains less than 3.5 pounds/gallon (420 g/L) of VOC and also has a low HAPS content, less than 2 percent by weight.
