SKYscapes Basecoat adhesion promoter is a high performance, single component product that extends the basecoat non-sand overcoating window. Designed exclusively for SKYscapes, a new basecoat/clearcoat exterior paint system developed by Sherwin-Williams Aerospace, complements and further broadens the system’s already long - up to 72 hours - recoat time. The adhesion promoter is easy to mix and apply, with just a light (.2 or .3 mils) spray to create a chemical bond with the existing basecoat. No additional sanding is required as it eliminates the traditional mechanical bonding between basecoat and clearcoat. The adhesion promoter helps the SKYscapes basecoat-clearcoat system deliver faster processing time, more color application and easier maintenance than traditional single-stage systems.
