The Custom Tools & Solutions team designs thousands of tools each year for customers in aviation, transportation, natural resources, power generation and many other industries. No request is too big or too small; Snap-on Industrial relies on more than 100 years of design expertise to satisfy customers’ custom tooling needs.
A good example of their capabilities was a request from an electric utility customer that was seeing poor results using an off-the-shelf pad mounted transformer access tool. After collaborating with the customer and observing the task at hand, the Custom Tools & Solutions team developed a new transformer access tool that solved all the safety and performance issues related to the off-the-shelf tool. Today, that new tool is used by electric companies across the country.
