Fatigue Technology

As a pioneer of the cold expansion process, FTI helped develop split sleeve cold expansion technology back in 1969. We have taken this foundation of creating a residual stress field around a cold worked hole to develop innovative solutions that significantly reduce manufacturing and maintenance flow-time and costs. This is accomplished by creating components that are easier and faster to install and by improving the way aircraft are assembled.
