A 5-amp, variable-speed motor makes the KSV-432 capable of cutting plastic and other rigid materials up to 1/2 inchand aluminum to 1/8 inch. It also accepts 2- and 2 1/2-inch high-speed steel blades for cutting laminate panels or cold rolled (C.R.) mild steel up to 16 gauge. The saw features a 2 1/2-inch carbide abrasive or high-speed steel saw blade that can perform cuts up to 5/8 inch deep, making it great for close quarters where plunge or straight cut-outs are needed.
