The smallest press in the Quintus fluid cell family, the QFC 0.7x1.8-800 was first deployed in 2013 and immediately gained traction among aerospace and automotive parts manufacturers for its ability to meet the critical needs of high capacity, low investment, and rapid start-up. Generating a pressure of 11,600 psi (800 bar) over the full forming area, the press can produce several parts in one and the same forming operation up to a size of 27.5 x 72 inches (0.7 x 1.8 m) with a depth of 6.9 inches (175 mm). This press model has been designed to improve part quality, reduce labor involvement, and expand throughput in the sheet metal fabrication process.
