Barry Loudis is trying to improve the passenger experience through story telling. As the senior director of business development and digital distribution at WarnerMedia, Loudis’ work is essential to CNN Airport Network’s offerings of around the clock news, sports, business, lifestyle and entertainment content to more than 2,400 gates at more than 60 major airports nationwide.
“Telling great stories is one of the best goals that you can have as a media person and trying to bring that to the passenger experience is really my primary goal,” Loudis said.
Working closely with a dedicated airport network team, Loudis and the team sees that the technology provided at an airport is supported with world-class content. Loudis has created distribution models that have led to access to content from WarnerMedia’s portfolio of brands, such as CNN and HLN, weather, business, travel and fashion segments – all designed for air travelers – as well as entertainment programming from TBS, TNT, TCM, Cartoon Network and HBO.
“It’s about being able to improve that experience for people to get connected and being part of a team that helps that passenger or helps that flight crew or helps that operational section go from point A to point B and to connect them with people they want to be with for business or personal. That’s the big draw for me,” Loudis said.
