2024 AMT Top 40 Under 40: Anthony Agosta

Aug. 20, 2024

Anthony Agosta began his love for aviation when he started working as a line service technician in high school. He knew he wanted to become a pilot and an aircraft maintenance technician and began his flight training at North Perry in 2009.

In 2010, he started an apprentice job in an avionics shop at FXE Airport. While working, he attended Broward College for his A&P license and was offered a job at Cessna Citation in Orlando as an A&P technician.

In 2013, Agosta began his career at Banyan as a technician, then crew lead, service manager, and now serves as the HondaJet Maintenance Manager. In 2017, Banyan became a HondaJet dealer.

Currently, there are 41 HondaJet aircraft in the Southeast region and the majority of the maintenance is conducted at Banyan. Of the 50+ HondaJet owners, many of them travel across the U.S. just to have their aircraft serviced at Banyan due to the expertise of Agosta and his team.

Agosta mentors the young technicians we hire and has been very active in training the new team of HondaJet dedicated technicians at Banyan's first-ever MRO expansion at St. Augustine Airport. Agosta has expert knowledge and experience working on Pilatus, King Air, Lear, Citation, and HondaJet. He has also completed several Gogo L3 AVANCE avionics installs.

Agosta led the Banyan team to complete the first 1200-hour inspection for any HondaJet. He also spearheaded the training of many technicians and supervises routine and AOG maintenance projects. He serves as the liaison between Honda Aircraft Company and many owners, directors of maintenance, and crew leads due to his experience troubleshooting and maintaining the aircraft.

Agosta has his private pilot license, A&P license, certification for the school of Citation, King Air, GE Aero Engines, and Honda Aircraft, among other AMT certifications. He has also completed the Tom Foster Leadership Training program.

Agosta actively participates in 4KIDS through volunteering with the Banyan team and organizing holiday toy drives and gift donations. He also participates in school tours at our facility as well as visits local flight schools.

On the annual Take Your Child to Work Day, Agosta takes the time to mentor and guide our next generation and inspire them to join the aviation industry. Agosta is hardworking and always there to lend a helping hand to his team and his customers. He flew to Louisiana to help fix an engine on a Piper Archer for a base customer who was left stranded and in danger of a hurricane arrival. He takes pride in his projects and his team. Agosta is truly an asset to Banyan Air Service and contributes greatly to the success of the business aviation industry as a whole.
