Aug. 20, 2024

Hanzalah Qureshi is noted for his strong work ethic and his consistency in performance and standards. His passion for learning something new every day has made him a well-rounded leader in this company and earned him the respect of his peers.

At 24, Qureshi stepped into a leadership role with the goal of making a difference and creating a culture focused on mentoring the younger generation like himself. He is Endeavor’s changemaker in the New York area, relating well to the younger workforce and maintaining open communication. His presence and technical knowledge promote a culture where growth is key, and learning something new in aviation every day is paramount to success.

“I’m proud of keeping LGA performing with the challenges we have been facing these past couple of years,”  Qureshi said. “I’m proud of the amount of training we are getting done and developing the new staff we have into well rounded mechanics. I’m very proud of being a young leader with a young work group, providing successful results in a very busy airport.”

Qureshi started his aviation career after graduating from Aviation High School in Queens. He was hired at Endeavor in 2014, starting off as an AMT. During his first year, he developed himself by constantly reading and understanding all the different aircraft systems. He made it a mission to become proficient in the electrical and avionics field while building strong working relationships with his peers. A year later, he applied for and received the position of Lead AMT, flourishing in the role as a leader. He was also attending college for further professional development, graduating with a BBA in finance from Queens College in New York.

Qureshi chose to stay in the aviation industry because he loved what he did. Moving up to the supervisor position at LaGuardia Airport, he was tasked with creating a well-versed team and developing talents to keep the operation strong. He built rapport with his peers and AMTs to foster trust and a great work culture. In 2022, Qureshi became the Technical Operations Maintenance Manager for LGA Airport. Using his technical knowledge to help run the largest Delta connection operation on the East Coast, Qureshi has built strong interdepartmental relationships and is determined to keep LGA consistent and reliable.

Qureshi is committed to the industry by finding new and improved ways to enhance operations. He always puts safety first and champions communication within different departments. On the technical side, Qureshi focuses on new AMT development and mentoring, holding qualifications that facilitate the training and development of newer talent at the base. He continually challenges himself to take on new roles and positions for career development, succeeding in all aspects.
