Small Plane Makes Perfect Landing in Middle of Highway Traffic in Canada
Sully would be proud.
A small plane made an emergency landing in the middle of highway traffic in Canada on Thursday morning, the CBC reported. No one was injured.
The plane landed on a Quebec City highway at around 10:30 a.m., according to the CBC. The pilot, alone in the plane, reported a mechanical problem, which police confirmed was the issue.
The pilot of the Piper Cherokee aircraft radioed the Quebec City fire department asking for permission to land on the highway, the CBC reported. It touched down just south of Quebec City’s Jean Lesage International Airport before any emergency crews could arrive on scene.
Traffic was halted for less than an hour.
Just further proof that Canadians are so polite they’ll let someone land a plane in the middle of their rush-hour commute.
