TAG Aviation Middle East set to meet increasing demand in the Gulf Region
TAG Aviation has pioneered industry standards in business aviation services, operations, safety and training for over 45 years. Operating from multiple centres in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, TAG Aviation offers bespoke services and solutions in aircraft management, charter, maintenance and FBO/handling.
TAG Aviation Middle East began its operations from the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2010, providing bespoke solutions in aircraft management and business jet charter, with plans to introduce local line maintenance. The company recently moved to new offices in the Seef District of downtown Manama and has a dedicated team available at all times to ensure client needs are met. It currently has one Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft available for charter.
Mike Greaves, Accountable Manager, TAG Aviation Middle East said: “Our centre in Bahrain is a key gateway to the Middle East and we continue our investment to cater for the increasing business aviation demand in the region. Our clients in the Middle East can expect service excellence and flexibility from an experienced team.”
Enhanced facilities and travel experience in Geneva
TAG Aviation is committed to providing clients with quality services tailored to their needs and continues to invest in the development of state-of-the-art infrastructure. In November, TAG Aviation opened the doors to its completely refurbished Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Genève Aéroport. It now features two separate entrances for passengers and crew, offering a convenient, smooth and discrete travel experience through the private terminal. At the newly-designed terminal, clients can benefit from additional facilities including three fully equipped passenger lounges, a ‘snooze’ room, lounge and kitchen for crew as well as office space and conference rooms.
Franck Madignier, TAG Aviation Europe’s President Engineering and FBO Services, said: “We continue to invest in infrastructure to better serve our clients and look forward to welcoming passengers and crew to our fully refurbished FBO in Geneva. The enhanced facilities offer greater comfort, privacy and a premium experience for our clients.”
TAG Aviation’s FBO in Geneva has repeatedly been rated one of the best business aviation facilities worldwide and placed third in the Aviation International News (AIN) International FBO Survey 2014. The private terminal offers a wide range of amenities such as concierge service, booking assistance for limos and taxis to and from the airport as well as accommodation, on-site Swiss and French customs and immigration, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Aircraft handling services include flight planning, EASA and FAA 145 maintenance, fuelling and catering.
Extensive maintenance capabilities
TAG Aviation has expanded its capabilities to include base- and line-maintenance services for Learjet 75 as well as brand-new Challenger 350 aircraft at its Bombardier Authorised Service Facilities in Farnborough, Geneva and Paris. It is the first company in Europe to work on Learjet 75 aircraft.
“We are pleased to offer our expertise to owners and operators of Learjet 75 and Challenger 350 aircraft,” said Franck Madignier, President Engineering and FBO Services, TAG Aviation Europe. “TAG Aviation continues to invest in training to further improve the knowledge and skills of its experienced teams, ensuring client needs are met. We are committed to the highest industry standards and are able to deliver a full range of maintenance solutions, holding our position as the leading one-stop-shop for aircraft maintenance."
In addition to its heavy maintenance centres in Geneva and Farnborough, TAG Aviation also offers comprehensive maintenance services in Sion, Paris, Madrid and Lomé. TAG Aviation is approved by all main aircraft manufacturers and has certification to work on over fifty types of aircraft. Its maintenance centre network includes ten specialist workshops, offering services such as paint shop, interior refurbishment and non-destructive testing.
Operating at highest safety and efficiency standards
TAG Aviation's maintenance centre in Geneva has signed its first order to retrofit a Falcon 2000EX aircraft with the Pro Line 21 avionics suite for implementation in April 2015. As a Dassault Authorised Service Centre, TAG Aviation is set to install a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 system on the Falcon 2000EX, making the aircraft compliant with current and new regulatory requirements. TAG Aviation was the first company in Europe to upgrade a Falcon 50EX with this EASA certified avionics modification.
Pro Line 21 is an integrated avionics system with four advanced, configurable 10 x 8 inch LCD displays that are capable of displaying high-resolution electronic charts, graphical weather and enhanced navigation maps. This ensures improved reliability, performance as well as situational awareness and confidence in low-visibility conditions. In addition to a higher level of operational efficiency and convenience, the new LCD displays provide a path to paperless flight decks. The avionics upgrade also features new capabilities such as solid-state geophysical sensors, digital autopilot as well as an all-digital communications, navigation and surveillance system (CNS).
“Our focus is to make sure that our clients’ aircraft operate at the highest quality and safety standards,” said Philippe Rabier, TAG Aviation’s Maintenance Sales Director. “The improved Pro Line 21 avionics system brings new capabilities that further enhance operational safety and efficiency, in compliance with new airspace regulations.”
