Dec. 7—PARIS — The 54th Paris Air Show, scheduled for June, has been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers announced in a statement published on Monday.
The "inevitable decision" had been made in view of the international health situation and the number of visitors that such an event would generate, the Salon International de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace de Paris wrote in the statement.
The Air Show, traditionally staged at the Le Bourget airport in the outskirts of the French capital, is one of the most important air shows worldwide. It has been rescheduled for 2023.
