ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed another heavy maintenance check on a Global 6000 including a cabin interior refresh and exterior paint repairs.
With this particular Global, an Indian registered aircraft, the company secured the 15-yearly inspection due to its significant experience of heavy base maintenance on Bombardier aircraft and its long track-record of maintaining Indian registered aircraft.
ExecuJet MRO Services’ new 15,344m2 (165,160ft2) purpose-built MRO at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport is in close proximity to India resulting in a short repositioning flight to this multi-award-winning MRO which offers comprehensive maintenance capability, including inhouse non-destructive testing (NDT), sheet-metal and composite work as well as a paint department. Holding these capabilities inhouse is crucial to reducing base maintenance costs to the customer. ExecuJet also met the customer’s expectations by offering a NTE (No To Exceed) proposal with the added value of maximizing the downtime by scheduling the airframe heavy check with cabin refurbishment options and an engine change,” says Nick Weber, Regional VP Middle East at ExecuJet MRO Services.
“In the past, some of the heavier base maintenance checks were carried out in Europe, because the cabin refurbishment work capability was there, but now that we have European cabin interior specialists based here in Dubai, we are capturing more of this type of refurbishment market,” says Weber.
ExecuJet’s partner – F/List, an Austrian headquartered cabin interior specialist that has a highly trained and experienced technical team now with interior workshops in Dubai, performed the cabin refurbishment work in parallel to the scheduled maintenance.”
ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East is approved by India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation to do line and heavy maintenance on multiple OEM aircraft including Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker aircraft.
The Global 6000 is a powered by Rolls-Royce BR710A-20 turbofans. ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East is a Rolls-Royce Authorised Service Centre, which means it is audited by Rolls-Royce, owns the required tooling and has the appropriately experienced and trained engineers, enabling the company to undertake engine changes that are covered under the Rolls Royce Corporate Care Program.
“Certainly, being a Rolls-Royce authorized service centre may have been a contributing factor as to why we secured this project from the customer,” adds Weber.
