Dec. 20, 2022

Santa Claus arrived Monday by STAT MedEvac helicopter at UPMC Harrisburg hospital to visit children at the UPMC Children’s Harrisburg pediatrics inpatient unit.

“Today we’re visiting…at the Children’s Hospital of UPMC to spread some joy and Christmas cheer to all the kids who are here...,” said Santa Claus.

“I have to thank Santa for coming around to UPMC Children’s Harrisburg,” said Chris Mmuo, Medical Director of Pediatric Services.

“We could see how the kids were very excited and they almost jumped out of their sick bay and came out to meet Santa. This kind of joy is what we really want to bring to those kids…”

After visiting the patients’ rooms, children and their families were able to take part in the annual tradition at the hospital of the photoshoot with Santa.
