Helitech International Flies into Amsterdam This October
14 January 2016 – Helitech International, Europe’s leading business event for the rotorcraft industry, will return to Amsterdam from 11-13 October 2016 with a programme that will present manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and engineers with a unique opportunity to source the latest equipment, while learning about the trends shaping the future of the sector.
Over the last decade the civil helicopter sector has shown steady growth, with its value reaching US$7.4bn1 in 2015. In the coming years, technological developments in tiltrotorcrafts and compound helicopters are expected to transform the market, through their enhanced performance and capabilities.
The global rise of offshore wind farms and recent tragedies involving the migration of people from the Middle East to Europe via the Mediterranean are just two of the reasons that demand for new helicopters is expected to increase. Among other things, businesses and governments will look to service their new infrastructure projects and guard national waters, fuelling demand for new equipment. Emerging markets, such as Brazil and China, are also expected to contribute as they expand their emergency medical service provisions.
However, it’s not just demand for new helicopters that is shaping the future of the rotorcraft industry. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are becoming an increasingly important part of the world, with businesses looking to utilise the technology to deliver more efficient services. As devices become more reliable and robust, the market is expected to thrive and supplement the growing helicopter sector.
Visitors to Helitech International 2016 can expect to hear about how these latest developments will benefit multiple vertical markets, including offshore, emergency medical services, search and rescue, para-public and VIP. Run in association with the European
Helicopter Association (EHA), the event will be a hive of activity showcasing the latest helicopters, parts, services and accessories, while high quality conference streams will feature presentations from some of the industry’s leading figures.
Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopters, Finmeccanica-Helicopters, Waypoint Leasing, Dart Aerospace and AEROLITE are just some of the names that have confirmed support for Helitech International 2016. They will be joined by more than 200 businesses from across the globe, including multinational companies and innovative start-ups. Visitors will benefit from being able to test equipment and ask questions about solutions before making purchasing decisions.
Helitech International’s highly regarded Conference Programme will run alongside the exhibition. This year’s line-up is yet to be revealed, but the last event saw a strong line-up of speakers including Glenn Isbell, Senior Vice President Customer Support and Services at Bell Helicopters; Roberto Garavaglia, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development at AgustaWestland; Tomasz Krysinski, Head of Research and Innovation at Airbus Helicopters; and Joel Flinois, Helicopter Simulation Product Line Manager at Thales Training & Simulation.
John Hyde, Exhibition Director, commented: “After a successful event in London, we’re excited to be returning to Amsterdam in October. Last year, stakeholders from across the rotorcraft industry came together to discuss the future of the sector. A place where new products and services can be sourced, trends uncovered and skills leant, Helitech International also presents valuable networking opportunities that are known to result in new business leads.
“Over the coming months we will be refining our Conference Programme to ensure that visitors will receive unique content that helps them grow their businesses in the future. We’re confident that the 2016 edition of Helitech International will be the most valuable to-date, presenting a plethora of opportunities all under one roof.”
Helitech International will run from 11-13 October 2016 at the Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands.
