In 100 days from now, on May 19, 2016, the IX International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2016 will open. This annual show is one of the pivotal events in Russian and European helicopter industry. The trade fair is conducted in accordance with Decree №1140-p of the Russian Government, dated June 19, 2015, and organized by Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation with support from Helicopter Industry Association. Both civil and defense products are regularly displayed at HeliRussia.
HeliRussia Exhibition is annually held since 2008, gathering all Russian and leading international helicopter manufacturers as well as representatives of Russian transport and aviation authorities and regulators. It is visited by helicopter operators, MRO & service providers, private owners, and other aerospace-related companies.
HeliRussia is famous for its outstanding premieres of new helicopter models and as a great venue for professional meetings and business negotiations. As part of the highly topical business program, industry headliners and officials discuss pressing matters, which affect the development of rotary aircraft industry in Russia.
The expectations of HeliRussia 2016 are high. The exposition is going to be notably enlarged due to integration of the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into its program. A specialized UAS conference is included in the business program: the importance and relevance of many topics was emphasized at the VIII Helicopter Forum held in November 2015.
The annual attendance of HeliRussia exceeds 11,000 visitors. In 2015 219 Russian and overseas companies has showcased their services and products; 46 events were held as part of the business program and over450 journalists from leading Russian and international medias were accredited. From 2008 through 2015, a large number of contracts resulted from the annual events and a lot of business contacts were established. The tradeshow facilitates cooperation between Russian and foreign participants of the industry. Positive feedback from last exhibitions enables to forecast the growth of business activity at this year’s exposition.
The interest of international helicopter companies in HeliRussia 2016 is customary high. For example, planned at HeliRussia 2016 are expositions of such high-profile manufacturers as Airbus Helicopters, Finmeccanica Helicopters (formerly AgustaWestland) and Bell Helicopter. The French Association of Aerospace Industry (Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales, abbreviated GIFAS) organizes a collective stand for enterprises engaged in the development, manufacture and technological service of aerospace systems and equipment.
HeliRussia 2016 will be held from May 19th to 21st in halls 3 and 4 of Pavilion 1 in IEC Crocus Expo.
