With this addition, VIH Aerospace is now approved by the regulatory body to perform specific aircraft maintenance activities including the inspection, overhaul, maintenance, repair and/or modification and release to service of the AW139 helicopter.
“This is a significant announcement for AW139 helicopter operators,” says Arne Arneson, general manager of VIH Aerospace. “AW139 owners and operators in Canada now have an experienced and proven alternative MMRO services provider in Western Canada that can provide them with top quality support for their helicopters.”
Arneson continues, explaining that the addition of the AW139 to VIHA’s support portfolio is in keeping with his company’s strategic plan of increasing its range and scope of capabilities in support of VIHA’s growing customer base; both through the addition of additional services for on currently-served platforms as well as offering industry-recognized best-in-class MMRO services on new helicopter types such as the AW139.
