Robinson Helicopter Company to Deliver Four Helicopters at Heli-Expo Dallas
Robinson Helicopter Company will display an R66 Turbine, R44 Raven II, R44 Cadet, and R66 Newscopter at this year’s Heli Expo in Dallas. All four aircraft are sold and will be delivered immediately following the exhibit.
SKY Helicopters, Robinson’s longtime dealer in Garland, Texas, will take delivery of three of the four aircraft. The R66 and the R44 Raven II, displayed in the main hall (Booth 8743), are optimally equipped with impact resistant windshields, cockpit cabin cameras, Garmin avionics, Genesys HeliSAS autopilots, and Robinson’s latest options, a long step and cyclic guard. The R66 ENG (electric news gathering), to be displayed in the static hall, will be SKY’s 16 Robinson Newscopter. According to Ken Pyatt, SKY’s president, their Newscopters fly daily in major cities across the U.S. with plans to add two more markets in the next twelve months.
The R44 Cadet will be delivered to the University of North Dakota (UND) Aerospace. This is UND’s sixth Cadet since its first acquisition in 2016. “The Cadet has proven to be an outstanding trainer. The continued innovation of the R44, including Garmin’s G500H 1060TXi, Robinson’s cockpit camera and engine monitoring unit will allow us to instruct the next generation of helicopter pilots using the latest tools and technologies,” said Wes Van DeIl, UND’s chief flight Instructor-Helicopter.
