Technisonic Industries Ltd. announces the release of the new TDAP-650 audio panel.
The new TDAP-650 is the next step in the evolution of Technisonic’s line of TDAP audio panels. Building upon the already popular and fully featured TDAP-611 audio panel, the new 650 brings advanced capabilities to the TDAP family and installations.
Designed to work directly with the TDFM-9000 series radios, the TDAP-650 has evolved to include two new technologies. First, the TDAP-65- has Bluetooth capabilities and the ability to utilize Technisonic’s embedded digital connection feature found on all MCP-equipped TDFM-9000 series radios.
“The digital connection eliminates the need for bulky wiring running across an airframe,” said Jim Huddock, director of business development. Simplifying all Mic Audio and PTT functions across a simplified 2 wire digital connection directly from the TDFM using RS-232 serial data. Audio can be then be configured to any com position 3 through com 8 via the TDFM itself (Com 1 and Com 2 are reserved for VHF AM radios).
Additionally, the 650s new Bluetooth connection operates directly through the intercom, simply connect using your phone as you would with any BT device with nothing to program or configure on the TDAP side of the connection. Audio is then accessed via the intercom function. Everyone on the intercom can hear and talk to the party on the other end of the call.
“What’s truly unique and new in the industry is the synergy now developed between the TDFM and TDAP lines. Never have we seen two products developed specifically to support and enhance the other’s capability in such a way. We truly see this as great benefit across the industry, from the installer / dealer, to the weight savings in the aircraft, to the pilot operator, everybody benefits," said Huddock.
Technisonic will have the TDAP-650 on display at Heli Expo, in Dallas, Texas (Booth 6507).
