MAG USA and Jabbrrbox are partnering together to introduce Escape Pods – part of the Jabbrrbox network and expand upon the existing network of 16 pods across 8 US airports, signaling continued rapid growth for both companies and confidence in this popular product. Travelers will be delighted to hear that 50 additional Escape Pods will be rolled out across the United States by the fall of 2021 and the existing network will be cobranded as Escape Pods – part of the Jabbrrbox network, with Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) as the first new cobranded location which launched this past week. Escape Pods are technology equipped private spaces which will provide a high value for consumers and turn underutilized space into revenue for airport operators.
“We are excited to be the first airport to offer Escape Pod connected workspaces. GSP is always working to introduce unique, high-value amenities for its passengers and we look forward to working with MAG USA and Jabbrrbox to provide our travelers with a better airport experience”, said Scott Carr, V.P., Commercial Business & Communications, Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District.
The Jabbrrbox and MAG USA partnership allows for the Escape Pods to become an extension of the popular Escape Lounges brand, a product of MAG USA, creating an elevated experience for guests. Escape Pods – Part of the Jabbrrbox Network gives airport travelers a space to take some time to themselves. Whether travelers use it for meditating, gaming, practicing an instrument or taking an important business call, the soundproof technology-enabled Escape Pods provide a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy terminals and can fit almost anywhere in the airport. Each Escape Pod has a table and is fitted with a fast, private, encrypted Wi-Fi connection as well as a 24” screen where users can interact with the Jabbrrbox app to track their flight, adjust the comfort of their environment and take a business video call.
To this partnership, Jabbrrbox brings the physical pods that they’ve meticulously developed along with the proprietary technology within each pod. MAG USA brings to this partnership Escape brand recognition and a strong distribution network that will support expansion into a wide network of airports and reach a large existing and loyal customer base.
“The timing couldn’t be better,” says MAG USA CEO, Martin Jones. “As the industry recovers, it can be overwhelming for a lot of travelers to jump back in. The Escape Pods offer an accommodating space for privacy and rest amid the chaos of the airport.”
“In a post pandemic world, as passengers' needs are constantly shifting, the demand for technology-enabled private space is at a premium. The fact that we can be a revenue generating amenity for an airport is a win-win for the passenger experience and the airport authority,” says Jeremy Jennings, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Jabbrrbox.
In the next month, expect to see official Escape Pods social media channels and website go live with the option to book on said website following close behind. Other airports offering Escape Pods in the coming months and beyond include O'Hare International Airport (ORD), McCarran International Airport (LAS), John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 8 (JFK), and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
