With more than fifteen years of experience in information technologies, Mr. Vecchiarelli has held numerous IT positions within the government and other aviation and financial corporations. He has been with AirIT since 2003 and has held a variety of positions including, systems engineer, project manager, and director of operations. In his current role at AirIT, he is responsible for the management and oversight of all phases of project delivery and both internal and external support organizations.
Vecchiarelli was part of the team that was responsible for the development of AirIT’s Extended Airline System Environment (EASE), including being named on the initial patent application. EASE is AirIT’s virtualized common use system used in over 25 airports by more than 50 airlines.
Vecchiarelli has been involved in all major system integration projects within AirIT. He has served as the system architect on the Philadelphia International Airport, Miami International Airport, and Sacramento International Airport. He later served as the project manager for San Jose International Airport, Antalya International Airport, and St. Petersburg (Pulkovo) International Airport projects as well as many other smaller AirIT software implementation projects. Most recently Vecchiarelli served as the project manager on the Anchorage/Fairbanks International Airport projects. He also provides technical expertise to AirIT management, development, and engineering.
Vecchiarelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College as well as numerous professional certifications.
