A Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society, Martin Doherty is currently the Head of Aircraft Noise, Vibration and Acoustic Fatigue at Accuris. Since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2013 with a 1st Class Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Martin has specialized in the field of acoustics spanning both the aerospace and marine sectors. He spent 5 years working in the Noise Engineering team at Rolls-Royce focused on the prediction, measurement and reduction of aircraft noise including the early-stage development of the UltraFan® demonstrator aero-engine. Prior to joining Accuris, Martin was responsible for leading a team of engineers working on the acoustic & non-acoustic signatures of a next generation anti-submarine warship for the Royal Australian Navy at BAE Systems. At Accuris, he is now responsible for the development and maintenance of the Aircraft Noise series, working closely with world-leading aerospace companies and research institutions.
