New Local Restaurant A16 Opens at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport

July 10, 2024

: New restaurant A16 is open and serving passengers at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) as of this week. The new quick-service restaurant at OAK is based on the longstanding Michelin-recognized and award-winning streetside restaurants of the same name located in both Oakland and San Francisco.

“We are thrilled to unveil this twelfth addition to OAK’s new Food and Beverage Program with the opening of A16 in Terminal 1,” says Craig Simon, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “Bringing the fantastic local flavors of the San Francisco Bay Area to our airport has been a priority for us throughout this process, and A16 is a perfect new addition to this lineup.”

At A16, travelers will find a straightforward, delicious Italian menu for the whole family, expertly crafted coffees, and a comfortable atmosphere. Menu options include freshly prepared pizzas, paninis, salads, and egg breakfast sandwiches made with local ingredients. A wide coffee and espresso selection from local favorite Equator Coffee Roasters and refreshing local draft beers and wines are also available.

Sourced from surrounding Northern California purveyors, A16’s comforting menu both supports the local Bay Area community while also ensuring that there is something for omnivores, vegetarians, and coffee-aficionados alike. A selection of fresh daily, onsite prepared grab-and-go paninis, salads, and healthy snacks will also be available to grab and go for travelers with no time to spare.

A16 at OAK will also feature two murals by long-time A16 collaborators and local artist, Ferris Plock (in collaboration with Kelly Tunstall).

During its soft opening period, A16 will operate from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM through July 13th, after which the restaurant will operate regular hours of operation from 4:30 AM to 11:00 PM. A16 is located in Terminal 1 adjacent to the Escape Lounge and Gate 8A. The restaurant is operated by OAK concessionaire High Flying Foods.
