The entire “AviationPros” group will be in Las Vegas for the Cygnus Aviation Expo held at the Las Vegas Convention Center March 7, 8, & 9, 2012. We have several interesting aircraft maintenance sessions planned open to all the attendees. Here’s a quick recap of some of the events for Aircraft Maintenance Technology readers:
Wednesday March 7th from 2:00 to 3:00PM. “Actively Engaged”. What does FAA's recent clarification mean for IA renewals?
Wednesday March 7th from 3:30 to 4:30PM. Unmanned Aircraft. Northland Community & Technical College provides the latest information into this emerging industry and what they are doing to train present and future UAV maintenance technicians.
Thursday March 8th from noon to 1:00PM. I will be moderating a panel discussion with leaders from Duncan Aviation, Elliott Aviation, and Jet Aviation to talk about the current challenges and best practices relating to business aircraft maintenance, including what they do to attract and retain skilled maintenance technicians.
And of course the AMTSociety has its IA Renewal Program the mornings of Wednesday March 7th and Thursday March 8th, and the popular AMTSociety Maintenance Skills Competition will be active each day concluding with the awards ceremony the morning of Friday March 9th.
Thursday March 8th after the trade show closes attendees are invited to stay for the networking reception and a chance to drive home in a brand new Ford F150 truck.
These are only a few of the events and activities planned. For more information visit: www.cygnusaviationexpo.com.
