Textron Aviation to Display Leading Jet, Turboprop Aircraft Portfolio at JetExpo
MOSCOW, September 4, 2014 – Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced that it will display a number of its class-leading business aircraft this week at the JetExpo trade show in Moscow. Beechcraft and Cessna are joined at JetExpo by their regional partners, Premier Aviation, Jet Transfer and East Union.
“Russia has long been a strong market for Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker products,” said Tom Perry, vice president of Sales, Europe. “With these industry-leading brands now operating together under Textron Aviation, we offer an ideal aircraft portfolio to support the expansion of business aviation in Russia. Our range of aircraft – pistons, turboprops and jets – and the product support network across Europe are unrivaled.”
Textron Aviation is showcasing three aircraft this week at the Vnukovo-3 Airport including the Cessna Citation Sovereign+ and Citation XLS+ midsize business jets and the Beechcraft King Air 350i turboprop.
The Citation Sovereign+, which recently received EASA certification, features winglets and the new Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D engines providing 5907 pounds of thrust. The new cockpit is designed around the Cessna Intrinzic Flight Deck powered by Garmin G5000 avionics. An integrated, workload-reducing auto throttle system streamlines the pilots’ tasks. With Cessna’s ClairityTM cabin management system and redesigned interior options, the Sovereign+ features the longest and most comfortable cabin in its class with a max seating configuration for up to 12 passengers. The Citation Sovereign+ provides customers non-stop access from Moscow to Dubai, and all European city pairs.
The Citation XLS+ is the world’s most sought-after business jet. Business owners consistently have chosen the Citation XLS+ more than any other aircraft in the light midsize category for its unparalleled combination of comfort, ease of operation, range of mission capabilities and favorable operating efficiencies. The aircraft provides customers non-stop access from Moscow to all European cities including London, Nice and Madrid. Inside is the largest cabin in its class with nearly 19 feet of length, a dropped aisle that provides 68 inches of height the entire length of the cabin and seating for up to 12 passengers. It travels as fast as 441 ktas with a range of more than 1,858 nautical miles, departing from runways as short as 3,560 feet.
The Beechcraft King Air 350i turboprop features next generation capabilities and efficiency, providing a responsible, sustainable alternative for business air travelers. Not only is the King Air 350i its segment’s greenest aircraft, but it can also take more passengers farther on less fuel – meaning consistent savings for its operators. This, combined with state-of-the-art design and performance enhancements, represents new heights of power and durability, while its new interior means that it has the most comfortable and capable cabin offered in its class.
