April 1, 2016 – Coming soon to Sun ‘n Fun 2016, Lakeland, Florida. Scheme Designers President and Chief Designer will lead a free workshop “Designing the Perfect Paint Scheme/Vinyl Design for Your Aircraft”, twice during Sun ‘n Fun 2016. The workshop will be held twice; the first on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in Forum Room 7 at 9am; the second on Friday, April 8, 2016, in Forum Room 8 at 9am.
The livery of an aircraft reflects the personality of the owner and the brand of the owning company. Scheme Designers has worked with over 12,000 aircraft owners and businesses in over 140 countries to design aircraft paint schemes that communicate the brand, personality and vision of the company and owner. Scheme Designers also works with all the OEMs on custom livery for factory new aircraft.
In this session, Owner and Chief Designer, Craig Barnett, will share critical guidelines and best design practices for a variety of makes and models of aircraft, for owners and companies to use when designing their new aircraft livery. Mr. Barnett’s world renowned workshop is presented in a dynamic, engaging, educational and entertaining, graphic-rich and visually stimulating media.
The interactive workshop includes use of hundreds of photos and design renderings illustrating best practices for aircraft paint scheme design. The workshop will assist customers in navigating the process to develop their paint scheme and see it through to reality.
Aircraft such as Dwight Frye’s RV-7 N4932L, will be featured to help illustrate the process owners can follow to design their perfect scheme. With the desire to have something different from the usual “perfectly fine, but standard, RV paint scheme”, Dwight, a software engineer with a vision for color and movement for his paint scheme, reports having a concept in mind, but not quite knowing how to bring it to life. After working through the design process outlined with Scheme Designers, Dwight is “thrilled beyond words with how the aircraft came out.”
The workshop is well known as an educational, unique and entertaining session. Attendees will never look at aircraft paint schemes the same way again, and will come away well equipped to develop designs for their own aircraft.
Third Annual Scheme Designers Sun ‘n Fun Scavenger Hunt
The popular Scheme Designers Scavenger Hunt is on again at Sun ‘n Fun 2016! Entry forms can be picked up at the Scheme Designers Sun ‘n Fun Booth (A-017), and must be returned to the booth no later than 4pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Players should check the Scheme Designers Facebook page regularly where several clues per day will be posted about the location of the stickers. “Like” and follow the Scheme Designers Facebook page to receive notifications as they happen. The hunt is limited to aircraft “within the fence” or on formal display at Sun ‘n Fun.
Players can pick up a scavenger hunt form at the Scheme Designers Sun ‘n Fun Booth A-017, and should jot down the make, model and registration number for each display aircraft on which they find the Scheme Designers sticker. A prized custom desktop model from Factory Direct Models (Booth C-023), worth more than $500, is the grand prize!
About Scheme Designers
Since 1997, Scheme Designers has pioneered the business of exterior design for aircraft of all types, sizes, and models - airline fleets, business jets, piston aircraft, as well as helicopters. Around the globe, there are over 12,000 unique aircraft wearing a Scheme Designers paint scheme. Over half of the OEMs delivering new aircraft have worked with Scheme Designers to develop the exterior styling for their factory new models, setting the standard for the industry as a whole. The Scheme Designers team of artists and designers work with each customer from inception through application of their scheme at the paint shop of their choice, and their job isn’t done until the paint scheme has been executed perfectly and their customer is completely satisfied.
You’ve seen those aircraft with the remarkable paint jobs…aircraft that look fast and lean just sitting on the ramp; aircraft that have panache and communicate the personality of the owner; aircraft that make you smile. There’s a good chance that the paint scheme was designed by one company and their very specialized team of artists…Scheme Designers...Art Above it All.
