SUN 'n FUN and WAI Partner for On-Site Lunch

he lunch, in partnership with SUN ‘n FUN, is scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2017, and will begin at noon in the Buehler Aerospace Skills Center.

Women in Aviation International's Connect Lunch at SUN ‘n FUN 2017 will include a panel discussion, moderated by WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian, of accomplished women and role models. The lunch, in partnership with SUN ‘n FUN, is scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2017, and will begin at noon in the Buehler Aerospace Skills Center.

Panelists include:
Patty Wagstaff, six-time member of the US Aerobatic Team who has won the gold, silver, and bronze medals in international aerobatic competition; Barbara Walters-Phillips, an aviation education teacher in Orlando, Florida, who incorporates aviation principles that support non-traditional careers for girls; Abingdon Mullin, airline pilot and entrepreneur who developed watches for female pilots, divers, and mechanics; and Kelly Murphy, director of communications and editor-in-chief for Aviation for Women magazine; Karissa Strickland, Lakeland Linder Regional Airport Operations Specialist; and Brittany Dieker, a recruiter for United Airlines.

"This lunch is a chance to have fun, relax and listen to these very interesting women share their adventures in their aviation careers and lives.” said WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian. "We appreciate the partnership with SUN ‘n FUN and being able to host this lunch right on the show grounds.”

Tickets for the WAI SUN 'n FUN Connect Lunch are available for $18 in advance and $20 on site and may be purchased here. Advance purchase tickets are recommended as a very limited numbe rwill be available on site.

Dr. Chabrian will host a radio show each day from Tuesday, April 4 to Saturday, April 8 on SUN ‘n FUN radio which is found at 1510 AM on the dial. Each day, she will interview notable women and speak of issues of particular interest to women who have chosen aviation as a career or as a lifestyle.
