ALTA Welcomes COOPESA as New Member

Miami, Florida (April 18, 2017) - ALTA (the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) today announced that COOPESA, a Costa Rica-based MRO, has become the association's newest affiliate member. ALTA's affiliate members are airline-related organizations that work collaboratively with the association on aviation industry initiatives throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region.
"We are delighted to welcome COOPESA and their MRO services to ALTA's membership and look forward to their support as together the air transport industry continues to grow social and economic development throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region," said ALTA's Executive Director Eduardo Iglesias.

COOPESA is an FAA and EASA certified airframe MRO with a 53-year history of delivering high quality workmanship, on time delivery, outstanding record of safety, and a focus on clients' cost reduction, and they are regulated under the same standards as aviation companies in the United States and Europe. COOPESA specializes in the A-320FAM, B737series, Embraer-190 and B757 aircraft, serving many airlines in the Americas and global leasing companies. Based in Costa Rica, COOPESA capabilities include C and D checks, HMV, MSG programs, corrosion prevention control programs, interior refurbishment, strip and paint, avionics modifications and upgrade, AD notes and service bulletin compliance, NDT inspection, composite repair, winglets and split scimitar modification, and side wall panels laminated. Customers include Aeromexico, Automatic LLC, Aercap, Avianca, Bahamasair, Copa Airlines, GECAS, Cayman Airways, Boliviana de Aviacion, GOL, DHL Aeroexpresso, LATAM, Pemco, Vivaaerobus, Southern Air, and Tame, as well as line maintenance in Costa Rica for numerous airlines.
