February 22, 2018 – Aviation professionals in search of their next opportunity will want to attend the 29th Annual International Women in Aviation Conference, March 22-24, 2018, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada.  Those attendees looking for their next job will be a step ahead of other applicants after attending a hiring briefing presented by exhibiting aviation and aerospace companies, being held all three days of the Conference. During a Hiring Briefing, companies outline their basic application procedures, discuss current positions available along with their requirements. Within the framework of a 45-minute briefing, questions are asked and answered.

“Rather than the previous Fast Pass program, we’re presenting Hiring Briefings this year,” said WAI President Dr. Peggy Chabrian. “Briefings are open to all attendees – no advanced registration necessary – just come with your conference badge.” Companies are seeking employees from various disciplines including maintenance technicians; pilots; aeronautical, electrical and mechanical engineers; software specialists and more.

The following companies have confirmed their participation.
  • Alaska Airlines
  • American Airlines
  • Atlas Air
  • Aurora Flight Sciences
  • Delta Air Lines
  • Emirates Airlines
  • FedEx
  • Horizon Air

  • JetBlue

“Our conference has always been an active place for making contacts for a job and sometimes even actually getting hired,” adds Dr. Chabrian. “Hiring Briefings help applicants get off on the right foot when seeking a position with any of these companies.”
