High Flying Foods Hires Bivens as Vice President of Development
High Flying Foods announces April Bivens has joined the Sausalito-based company as vice president of development.
Bivens started her aviation career at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) in the Department of Aviation in 2000. During her 12-year tenure at ATL she worked in the executive office reporting directly to Deputy General Manager Mario Diaz and was later promoted to marketing coordinator in the concessions department. Following her time at ATL she was hired as director of business development for Hojeij Branded Foods (HBF). In her role with HBF she signed more than 25 national, regional, and local brands, and secured two development agreements for the company. After spending four years with HBF, Bivens was recruited as VP of business development for Jackmont Hospitality as the first-ever and only dedicated business development executive to exclusively lead and accelerate the company's growth. Within eight months of her hire, Jackmont was awarded two airport contracts. Bivens also led the team to additional wins at Newark Liberty International (EWR) and Los Angeles International (LAX).
Bivens will join Carla Wytmar to expand the development efforts in the east region of the country for High Flying Foods. “We are delighted to have April join the High Flying Foods family,” says Glenn Meyers, CEO of High Flying Foods. “Her experience, track record, and strong relationships within the industry will be a great asset for the growth initiatives High Flying Foods has on deck.”
