GPU with electronic engine

Oct. 25, 2011

Tronair has incorporated a Cummins Tier 3 QSB electronic engine into its 28.5v DC GPU. The full engine electronics allow more precise control over performance. The engine operates at 1,800 rpm for low fuel consumption, a 20 percent or more fuel cost savings. The control panel includes a large engine digital display and diagnostics module (DDD) to view engine parameters, maintenance timers and fault codes, low fuel warning lamp, low coolant shutdown system, voltmeter and ammeter, and an automatic one minute power off delay engine shutdown for turbo protection. Powerful, six phase alternator and rectifier for ultra-low DC output ripple with adjustable peak output current limiting control of 2,000 amp peak and 800 amp continuous. Single DC voltage control card (VCC) for greater reliability. The engine operates with diesel or jet A fuel, incorporates a fuel/water separator with water in fuel sensor, and a large 35-gallon fuel tank for 12 plus hours of use. It has a 120v AC plug-in coolant block heater and automatic intake air grid heater for cold starts. For more information visit www.tronair.com or call (419) 866-6301.
