Textron GSE is pleased to introduce the newest member of the TUG ALPHA family of products. The TUG ALPHA 1 is a narrow-body pushback, purpose-built for productivity, safety and operator experience. With three powertrain options, lithium, gas and diesel, the TUG ALPHA 1 is loaded with features designed to deliver an unparalleled experience.
The TUG ALPHA 1 is the industry’s only pushback available with a gas powertrain specifically designed for commercial aircraft, and diesel engine options including Tier 3, Tier 4F, Stage V for use throughout the world. The lithium model delivers greater energy efficiency, zero maintenance batteries and low cost of ownership. It also features an advanced battery management system which protects and monitors the health and performance of batteries, including efficiency, temperature and state-of-charge.
Unlike other pushbacks, the TUG ALPHA 1 also brings a set of safety and productivity boosting features to the tarmac, including an center-drive design and superior tow-bar visibility that enables drivers to see the hitch without standing up or using mirrors. The three-person cabin is loaded with upgrades that enhance comfort and ergonomics, like touchscreen controls within easy reach and optional automotive quality heating and air conditioning. Also, all common maintenance tasks can be handled from the ground, with large doors offering easy and safe access and push-to-connect hydraulic connections that maximize productivity and minimize costly downtime.
All TUG ALPHA 1 models meet or exceed SAE and IATA specifications and all TUG ALPHA 1 models are offered with CE certification. In addition to these features, the TUG ALPHA 1 offers a 24,000 lb. drawbar pull, LED headlights and taillights, and a host of options.
